Kelly Ripa knows that a big part of her TV hosting duties includes keeping up appearances.
And, the “Live! with Kelly” host admits to a recent issue of In Touch magazine, she does so with a little help from an old Hollywood staple: Botox.
“I work out every day. I don’t overeat. I try to drink water, but I prefer wine, and when all else fails, I get Botox injected right here, right into my forehead as much as possible!” Ripa, 41, told the magazine.
The perky host, known for her energy and dynamic personality onscreen, further adds that she knows it’s time to get another dose of Botox when her three children start asking questions.
“It’s when my kids start asking me if I’m mad at them, and I say, ‘Why do you think I’m mad at you?’ They say it’s because I’m frowning,” she explained. “I go, ‘Oh no! I am? I’ll be right back!'”
Ripa is mother to Michael, 15, Lola, 11 and Joaquin, 9, with husband Mark Consuelos.
The TV host has recently made headlines amid speculations about who her new cohost will be in the wake of Regis Philbin’s departure.
By the end of July, Ripa had already sat with 59 different guest cohosts, including Neil Patrick Harris, Jonah Hill, Cat Deeley, Seth Meyers, Mario Lopez, Daniel Radcliffe, Alec Baldwin and NY1’s Pat Kiernan.
Ripa reportedly favors Anderson Cooper as a frontrunner for the spot, but the Silve Fox is currently tied up with his CNN news show and syndicated talk show.
In May, Ripa jokingly pitched a possible collaboration to Cooper when the two appeared together on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live!”
“I still feel like you and I are destined to be together, someday, somehow,” she said.
